The deadline for our September intake is the 5th of September and there are still places available. Fill in our online enquiry form to discuss the Management and Leadership or Management and Professional Accounting course with our advisors.
You may be aware that, for students, September is a busy time. Those who have studied for the necessary qualifications eagerly receive their results in August and the majority of UK students begin their university life in September. But what has this got to do with online courses? At CUC online, September is also one of our most popular intakes. For an online course, this means opportunity for more discussion, greater opportunities for online networking and a fulfilling student experience.
If there’s ever been a good time to make the leap and study an online course with us, it’s now! Here are three reasons why.
Engaging online experiences
The modules in our online degree, HNC or HND programmes can be studied in isolation, but the real learning takes place when you can discuss the topics with your classmates and form a dialogue around subjects to reinforce your learning. Learning new topics with a number of different peers, each with varying levels of ability and experience in industry can be a great way to network and revise.
Practical online learning can be more social than you might think. In a management module, for instance, you will learn the theory and apply the practice to scenarios, but you can also learn directly from your peers themselves. Imagine finding out how to manage conflict in the workplace from someone who does it on a daily basis. Online learners come from all walks of life, are a variety of ages and might have had a number of different careers; there’s no telling who you’ll meet on the forum boards or discussion forums.
Professional qualifications that validate your skills to employers
This September, we’re adding a CMI qualification to our online Management and Leadership BA course. This means that all those who study the BA degree will benefit from Associate Membership to the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), a professional awarding body who support and educate managers across the UK. Upon successful completion of the BA course, you will receive an undergraduate degree in Management and Leadership from a top 15 UK university and successful students will have also earned a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership from CMI. Having these recognised qualifications to back up your experience is a great source of support and quantifiable evidence for employers about your management competence. See more about our CMI accreditation and view our Management and Leadership course in more detail here.
Student support when you need it
Online learning isn’t a solitary experience. Much like it’s important to communicate to your peers on your modules, you can also seek help and advice from Coventry University College tutors for academic questions and your dedicated student support advisor for any guidance and administrative assistance. From your recruitment advisor through to student support and course tutors, we hope to make your experience informative and valuable.
