At CUC Online, we firmly believe that an online education is a complete education, meaning you will receive no less support than you would receive studying a traditional on-ground degree. Students on our online degree courses receive the same qualification as those working at the university campus, so it’s only fair that you receive the same level of support throughout your studies. Even though online students often study in their own time, free of a classroom, it doesn’t mean they are without a support structure. The points below will give you an insight into how our Student Support Advisors can help and what support you’ll receive when you decide to study with us.

Admin support

Once you have been accepted onto one of our online courses, a dedicated Student Support Advisor will have a one-to-one phone call with you. During this call, the advisor will explain:

  • IT and email accounts
  • Academic support
  • Assessments
  • And all other information to get you started.

This Student Support Advisor will be your contact point throughout your studies for all non-academic matters, this includes issues such as negotiating extenuating circumstances and providing any IT assistance you may need.

Academic support

Communicating with peers

Your virtual learning environment, an online learning and class community web page, is where you’ll be accessing all of your learning materials, from videos and quizzes to activities and practice assessments. In the virtual learning environment, there will also be opportunities to discuss your tasks and topics with your fellow online students. By participating in forums, you can learn from you fellow students’ experiences and build your understanding of the topics collectively,

Communication with lecturers

At CUC Online, our experienced lecturers are available during office hours. During these hours, lecturers will be available to answer questions regarding the course, address and topics you might be struggling with or discuss your answer to a question. During office hours, lecturers can be reached via phone, Skype or email.

Ultimately, our student support and academic teams are here to make your online learning experience as easy, informative and inclusive as possible. If you have any questions about online learning, view our FAQ page or phone us on 08081 789 636 or request more information via our online enquiry form.
